Capturing moments and telling stories through the lens has been my passion ever since my father one day brought me a camera he has stumbled upon at a garage sale and bought for $5. I was in high school and back then I had no clue about the technicalities, but the thrill of capturing images and eagerly awaiting the developed film fueled my love for photography.

It was during my college years that I had the opportunity to delve deeper into this art form. Starting at Sierra College and later pursuing courses at Sac City College, American River College and CSUS, I seized every chance to expand my knowledge and skills. As fate would have it, I embarked on a remarkable journey as a photojournalist with the Roseville Press-Tribune before taking the leap into the world of freelance editorial photography.

My career has been nothing short of diverse and exciting. From traveling to different locations and photographing delectable culinary delights and general interest features, to documenting local artists, events, and the vibrant music scene, I have been fortunate to engage with a myriad of subjects. The scope of my work extended to collaborations with renowned publications and organizations, including Sports Illustrated, The Sacramento Bee, Fangoria Magazine, Inside the UFC, Sacramento News and Review, Mikunis, and Out Here Magazine, where I had the privilege of photographing captivating moments, such as the largest chicken egg in the world and meeting a hero dog named Odin.

While my professional journey has been filled with diverse experiences, I find immense joy and fulfillment in capturing the essence of weddings, lifestyle moments, and various editorial projects that pique my interest. The privilege of immortalizing cherished memories and crafting visual narratives is a responsibility I hold dear. My recent work has been proudly featured in esteemed publications like Real Weddings Magazine, Our Wedding Magazine, Offbeat Weddings, and Country Club Receptions Magazine.

Beyond my passion for photography, I am a credentialed teacher, and it brings me immense satisfaction to give back to the community that shaped me. Teaching high school photography in the very neighborhood I grew up in allows me to inspire a new generation of budding photographers. I believe in nurturing their creative spirits, empowering them to pick up their cameras, and encouraging them to explore the limitless possibilities of this art form. The joy I experience in photography is one I hope to share with my students, igniting their own love for capturing the world around them.

In my personal life, I am blessed to call Sacramento home. Alongside my beautiful and patient wife, my two amazing children, and our three beloved canine companions, I find solace and inspiration in the everyday moments that surround me. They are my constant reminder of the beauty that lies within the connections we forge and the stories waiting to be told.
